4^ème Trail-Marathon des Papillons, Kpalimé, Togo

Welcome to the 4th edition of the Trail-Marathon des Papillons in the Atacora mountain chain. This is the masterpiece of the African Marathon Challenge. We start with a breakfast in the area of the NGO AGERTO (Association Germano-Togolaise) located in the Yoruba-founding Kpalimé. Running slightly uphill on paved roads, we cross the border to Ghana after 12 kilometres. On our way we will visit the friendly mountain villages before reaching 2 waterfalls. You get a free massage there... The finishline awaits you with local food and traditional music in Kouma Konda, one of this lovely Butterfly-Villages. Charity-Background: We are building the sanitary facilities of the "Gustav Nachtigall"-School in Kpalimé. We support the AGERTO project in Kpalimé by planting fruit trees and build a computer class.

We are just working on the first edition of the Trail-Marathon du Mt. Agou, the highest peak of Togo. It will be started on sunday morning, 16th February 2020. You will expierence the beauty of the mountain villages and their surrounding nature. Believe me, Mt. Agou is a mystical place. We plan to connect both event with a runners camp inside the AGERTO-area, where we will start both marathons. Details soon, stay tuned.
